Today’s older adults expect a broad range of programs, services and educational opportunities. Primeplus (Norfolk Senior Center) classes and activities are designed to be responsive to the needs of the community and will change as the community changes, maintaining a focus on quality, cooperation and community resources.

Theater & Music

ENDURABLES SINGING GROUP
Tuesdays 10:00 a.m.

If you are interested in warming up your vocal cords in great company, we welcome all singers. If you are interested in scheduling the group for a performance at your church or club, the singers are available for a daytime performance. Please call 625-5857 for details.
 
MUSIC APPRECIATON
Thursdays 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.

Join Leonard Freedman as he presents an appealing mixture of popular and classical music to watch and listen. This six week course presents different genre of music every month. So come and listen to those wonderful musicians of the 30's, 40’s and 50's perform their greatest hits; or for those lovers of classical music, there will be some thrilling moments from opera and operetta.

PIANO PRACTICE
Wednesdays 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Every week the music room is reserved for members to practice piano on their own. Use this time to sharpen up your skills, practice upcoming holiday tunes or just enjoy the time you spend making your own music. Call the (757) 625-5857.
 
TIDEWATER ARTS
OUTREACH PERFORMANCES

Tidewater Arts Outreach seeks to bring creative, talented performers to the senior center so that individuals can take part in artistic experiences designed to uplift, entertain and inspire. These performers and artists will engage their special audiences in music, performing arts, or visual arts experiences throughout the year at Primeplus.
